I thought I could create a NiP for DIDs, but I recognize making a resolver for any DIDs might not be a priority at this point.

but one could easily do a NIP 05 where the identity is the DID, not a http address

As long as you could get that NIP05 json response to where the DID is stored or referenced

I noticed the time stamp, it seems like the discussion has become ID at time. Why not use bitcoin block height for universal time instead of time stamp.

they could, but I think it is too much change (you now need a node) at a short time
