The VanEck #Bitcoin ETF will use the $HODL ticker symbol. VanEck will use Coinbase to custody their coins for them. Ironic.

All just marketing 😅

I was impressed when I saw that the Fidelity fund plans to self-custody, but I guess it’s not surprising given their history. For those who have accounts where the money is unfortunately locked into trad-fi, the Fidelity ETF seems like the only one of them worth considering.

fidelity is the only one out of all of them that is doing it correctly.

I will continue to use me as the trusted custodian of my Bitcoin.

Although it is yet to be seen if I am a truly responsible custodian.

honestly, it’s debatable.

this is the way.

it's also the way to teach newcomers the differences between having a piece of paper saying you own the asset versus owning the asset.

Did an etf get approvid? 🤔

No, just listing of the ticket symbol. Fidelity's is $FBTC.

Wow 😂 way to go fEYEdelity as saylor would say

gamblers arriving the casino

I heard off Bloomberg that VanEck was going to use Gemini for custody. Are you sure they’re going to use Coinbase? I saw a graphic that showed Fidelity was going to self custody, hashdex was unknown, and 9 of the 12 are using Coinbase. If vaneck is using Coinbase now that would be 10 of 12.

I've seen it reported both ways. Either way, they're not HODLing anything.

Fidelity is the only legit one.
