Contrary to how the Trump administration tries to frame it, the proposed federal budget—the “Big Beautiful Bill”—is not in the interest of the majority of people.

While providing massive tax cuts for the already-wealthy, the bill will contribute to the poor getting poorer billions in cuts to critical social programs that mitigate poverty, health inequities, recidivism and more.
