Russians are darker, almost black, in my experience. Africanized ones look so similar to regular Italian or Carniolian, but their buzz is way more intense and sort of higher pitched. Lemme see if I can find my entries in the ABC and XYZ of Bee Culture β¦more pix to follow.

Yeah. We have words like buzz, super, nuc (nuke), hive body, flow, ball, which all mean something different in bee culture.
I dabbled, but it wasn't for me π
Glad you gave it a try. Itβs hot, backbreaking, but rewarding. Just having goodwill towards the pollinators is helpful, even if youβre not actively keeping bees β‘.
Absolutely! If I didn't have so many other projects, I might get into.it. It's an awesome hobby, totally support it, but I had a hard time keeping up with it and managing the evil mites in a natural way. I was also gifted some really hot bees π
