About 9/11 I’ll offer that I became aware of it while driving to work, when I got to work everyone watched it on TV for the entire day. This was an affluent bank/investment office in a rich suburb. No one came in to do business, no one bothered to try to get us back to work.

(I called a good buddy of mine, a very perceptive trader, but caught him still sleeping. “So..what can we even make of this?” I said, and he answered “what…what are you talking about?” and I responded, “Oh…you don’t know. Turn on the TV. Any channel.”

When the 1st building came down, it shocked me. I viscerally and un-critically felt that the building couldn’t come straight down the way it did.

When the 2nd tower came straight-down, I swear on my Life I thought, “God is on the side of these terrorists. He’s showing this by these two, perfect collapses.”

I throw that out there, now that we have Nostr and I don’t need to self-censor.

Those were the experiences of one pleb of 29 on the morning of September 11th, 2001.

I had a similar experience. I was in the office and watched the news unfold on TV and another eye on the stock market, watching the airline stocks drop.

I had the same reaction to the buildings dropping. I told people in the office that nothing was going to happen. Heat rises, I said, and most people would evacuate safely.

I was shocked when the first building fell and then gobsmacked when the second building fell. I thought there had to be explosives. At that point we left the office because we were in a tall building and there were rumors that other buildings might be targeted.

I remember being confused about flight 93, the plane in Pennsylvania. At first the reporters were interviewing eyewitness who saw the plane chased by military jets. The plane exploded in midair and debris rained down. The reporters were showing bits and pieces scattered over a wide area. Then the story changed abruptly. Now the plane had crashed into a field. They showed a blackened area where the plane apparently crashed but there wasn’t a plane, just a burned area. At first I thought they were talking about another plane, but I eventually realized that it was the same plane with a new story. They showed the charred area a few times and then never showed it again. To this day, I don’t think I’ve seen that footage since.

I became even more confused when I learned about building seven.

I remember the plane going down over the field in Pennsylvania being reported somewhat weird as well. That was the flight where supposedly people on the flight fought back against the attackers who ‘only had utility knives’, and overcame them. And several people on that flight were calling loved ones and getting information about the other flights…

Then, again supposedly, the plane was shot down?

I think the official story is that heroic passengers rushed the cockpit and caused the plane to crash.

The images on the news were more consistent with it being shot down.

I had always suspected that they pivoted to the story about the heroic passengers after they heard about the celular phone calls from the passengers to their families. Much better to spin the story with a heroic outcome rather than to justify shooting down a plane full of your citizens.

At this point, I’m not sure about anything. All I can tell is the official story doesn’t make sense. Hopefully we’ll find out what really happened eventually.
