As big as possible. Mutiny does also give you some inbound liquidity when you open outbound liquidity.

LN open/close is confusing along with balancing channels.

But basically opening a lighting channel means a uxto needs to be "locked" in a lightning channel so it requires an onchain transaction to set up and to close. You have to pay miner fees to open and a future fee get uxto back on base chain.

The thing with self custody lightning channels is that you can have forced closures and you are responsible for the funds and fees.

Fedi is a custody solution for small amounts. Mutiny also hasn't quite yet rolled out ln address which makes this all come together. So cashu still serves a great role here.

Currently I don't think fedimints have tokens like cashu ecash does, so fedimints will work for zaps with NWC but not currently like how you can text your friends sats as cashu tokens.

The swap from fedi to a lightning channel in Mutiny is 100k plus fees.

A swap from fedi to cashu or out to another custodial lightning wallet is the lightning fee.

it works the same as cashu i guess, but mutiny did nothing with it, unless it was claimed already or i messed up my copy paste
