Save us from what?

Isn’t it an option to make a conscious decision to limit the information flow? To focus on human to human interactions in smaller groups (Dunbar comes to mind), to rediscover a stronger connection to nature and ourselves?

From ourselves.

Yes, more and more people are waking up to realization that limiting information flow and reconnecting with nature vastly improves quality of life.

But in order to achieve this, you need to have means. Be in position to say no and then to defend the boundaries you've established. You can leave the world alone... but the world will not leave you alone. It'll keep intervening in the life of you and your offspring. We saw this well demonstrated over the past few years where individual freedom of many was limited in the name of the greater good.

Once AI takes over this will change. AI will be the context and the defender of boundaries... not fallible, corruptable humans.

Hence: say yes to AI.

I don’t understand how AI will defend the boundaries more than erode them

AI is a tech but how it is used is going to be the factor. Like if the search engines or media or govs tell AI is the only truth, we should always ask what AI thinks, or even make it CEO/governor of something then it becomes a really big problem. But an AI trained based on knowledge and wisdom on Nostr would be a light for humanity.
