Seems a bit paranoid no? Even if I were an agent of some kind, and you confirmed you carry concealed, and it were illegal for you (you ARE in CA after all), unless said agent searched you (what are the chances of that), it wouldn’t be prosecutable on hearsay, etc…I ask because these mass shooting have me shaken up. I don’t want to live in the wild 1870’s American West, however I don’t wish to die cowering behind a pallet of dog food in Costco waiting for the disgruntled 20 something to shoot me like a caged animal. Even less do I like aforementioned 20 something shooting innocent children so, what’s the solution?

I meant my comment as a lighthearted joke. But if you're asking my opinion, I will say is that the only thing that will stop a mentally ill person with a gun is a good guy with a gun. There is no magical scenario where a law will prevent someone from doing harm to others if they have their mind set on it. Murder is already illegal yet completely disregarded. Passing more laws just makes innocent people easier targets.

I appreciate your opinion and agree. I wonder how many people who choose to carry in spite of the laws will find themselves in trouble waiting for the legal framework to catch up with the social context.
