Much bigger zaps, if devs are gonna give up like 200k salaries to work on nostr we need to zap them more than 21 sats

Subscribe / pay for the thing the dev is building

I can’t zap millions of sats but definitely I can subscribe to the clients I use and zap extra

It's hard to pay true value for everything you use because you use so many things. I think this is ultimately where v4v fails and the only way it may work is at scale - and the product / service makes just enough to live on but nothing glamorous.

Yeap! I never charged anyone for the pics people asked me to make but they usually didn’t zap at all or zap not what you expected for the few hours or days of prompting šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

people don't know the value of things, that's why you have to set the price yourself. I have discovered this through experiments.

True! But I had no purpose to do this because it was my contribution and hobby ! But for the nostr clients and devs it’s make sense to set the price for their work if they aren’t treating it as a hobby !

yeah I think that's the idea behind premium upsells like Snort pro, Damus Purple. If you don't set the expectations, people will pay the bare minimum or nothing (with some outliers).

Devs are not good at asking. Subscribe (or whatever mechanism) should be easy, and easily accessible.

I saw you guys are discussing placement for these things, so it seems like that's on top of the mind already. in-context and feature discovery prompts are great. X also puts theirs in the sidebar and you can't close it unless you upgrade I guess. Or Ublock lol

Makes sense ! Probably the most important motivation!

A lot more šŸ˜‚

As just a user/zapper….If someone could plainly sell me on a feature thats being proposed, I’d consider donating. A pool of people like me could make a dent. The problem lies in the lack of knowledge/desire to understand if we aren’t devs.

Something like a bounty job posting (ux related and not technical) that gets funded with zaps and executed
