I think all three were better off with their own dictators than after US swoops in. It’s not just gold, they lost all their natural resources!

Not a coincidence Ukraine will sign a deal giving up minerals...I agree they were better off even with previous dictators, let's not forget that the USA put Sadam Russian, Ghedaffi and others in power. Just like Bush senior has made business with Osama Bin Laden.
