“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies.” (2 Corinthians 1:3)

The one true and living God is the “Father of mercies.”

What a sweet and precious title. God desires that we know this about him, which is why Paul wrote it.

The ground of all mercy is the cross.

God is rich in mercy. He delights in showing mercy.

Mercy triumphs over judgement.

God’s mercies never come to an end. They never cease.

They are new every morning.

The purpose of mercy is to lead us to repentance.

The objective of mercy is to pardon.

His mercies vary according to my needs: healing mercies, strengthening mercies, sustaining mercies, etc.

He is the spring of all mercy. It is his nature.
