Expensive kinda, mine would have been free, but we have a ton of taxes.

if its a fully governmenr hospital it would have cost about MYR75 (about 16-17USD). If it is a private hospital, maybe about MYR4000 (888 USD).
but yeah, still feel the pinch with the MYR400. out of pocket

Pay! The money isn't real.
We live a simple life, and while we don’t fly first class we do have means to cover our expenses. Its a the equivalent of a very nice vacation.
Thankful for everything we have.
what's a vacation if your wife's leg is a huge concern, imho?
it's a clesr picture in the eyes of #darknostr:
vacation with the wife's dysfunctional leg
or
no vacation but wifey gets a chance to have a functioning, healthy leg
everyday is a vacation when couples are healthy together like Netflix and chill, with popcorn even - that's one helluva vacation for people who don't even enjoy being together
I think you people are very lucky for having each other. Ukraine is an example of thinking how extremely lucky some people are
yeah pretty much the same here. technically if i do it in a fully govt hospital it would have been free but the que would have been long
my country used the be applaud for affordable public healthcare.
not anymore. a lot of medication are not covered (i had to buy my wifes pantoprazole and duphaston out of pocket and it cost quite a lot), service are getting subpar and even when government service servant are entitled to slightly better bedded ward, we arent getting it because such beds are non existent anymore
Sounds very similar to Canada
