Just prepping for normies. You are only as strong as your weakest link.
Let's say the US grid went down quickly. Cash would still be in play for the normies, stores could only accept physical cash. Not credit cards, not gold, probably not Bitcoin, just cash. I give the scenario a less than 5% chance. So I keep a little bit stashed away.
What about bullets? I would argue bullets and food are more important than paper backed by a blacked out grid, for this example.
