If its true to bitcoin's ethos, I'll buy some. Maybe. I'm cautious about any potential shitcoinery. But... But but but. We might have slammed the door too hard on shitcoins, as a community. That's the safe place for trying things.
Discussion
Most ppl treat them as securities and consider themselves as a software company. This is the wrong model. The right model is hands off the chain and sell expertise.
When I get through my backlog I plan to make a fork of bitcoin. Stripped back and simplified. No data. No segwit, no taproot. No asics either. Bitcoin with the mistakes removed, and nothing added.
I don't even care if nobody uses or mines it. It's just because I know a lot about the subject and it markets that for me.
No asics? I like the asics... I imagine future heliostat asic satellites and the center of hash moving to roughly where the sun is and the whole inner solar system using bitcoin.
It uses a hash that requires long division. 25% of CPU dies are dedicated to this. For which reason also it needs a dynamic adjustment as inevitably there will be bonnets dive bombing it. The work i did on parallelcoin had a poorly designed difficulty adjustment with a clamp that led to difficulty getting stuck high even though few were mining.
This is intended to democratize mining. Asics don't allow this. Asics are expensive and CPUs are proportionally powerful as cheap. Being that arm and MIPS processors are more power efficient, a lot of old hardware will be resurrected for this.
It's a whole different, more user friendly mining design.
