Do not judge, lest you be judged.

Does he mean we cannot call balls and strikes?

Does he mean we can’t say that behavior is right or wrong?

Remove the wooden beam from your own eye so that you can help remove the splinter from your brother’s eye.

You have to be able to notice the splinter in order to help him.

Do not throw pearls before swine. You have to be able to assess.

Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing but underneath are ravenous wolves. By their fruits, you will know them.

As a Christian, you have to judge.

When Jesus said “Do not judge” he didn’t mean we cannot assess people’s behavior. However, we first need to assess our own behavior.

We ultimately can’t judge hearts. We can’t condemn someone. We can see actions, but we can’t see hearts.
