Some things fascinate me about the 1-10 scale for beauty:

1) It's a real, objective measure and not just a meme.

2) AI can reproduce median scores reliably, but there is no true algorithm available.

3) The median scores hide the typical wide polarity (a "6" is often a collection of "4" and "8" scores).

It's the beauty equivalent of an IQ scale: an accurate measure of some particular quality.

It isn't a measure of how valuable she is to you, as a person. People and relationships are more complicated than that.

I admire beauty. It's a good, like intelligence, athletic prowess, artistic talent, a virtuous character, etc.

Pretty girls make me happy. They're like flowers.
