I guess to simplify it I could say a satanic pope does not have moral authority by definition.... God's people coming together all submitted to Jesus have the authority. What did Jesus say? "When two or more are gathered in My name."

Uh, why?
"You shall know them by their fruit" if the fruit is good I'm along for the ride. If it's bad, then the Holy Spirit is not there and it would be immoral to simply submit in my not so humble opinion.
