Im no expert but didn’t bemrose node have this problem.
Maybe a tor - clearnet thing. 🤷🏻
both nodes in question are tor, both can be peered to from all the other nodes we've tested from

Yeah my experience with difficulty opening a channel was mostly with thunderhub. For some reason ride the lightning worked better for me.
