#[0]โ€‹ i saw some of your videos about Hardware wallets. Also the summary of the 6 best. But i wondered why the Blockstream Jade wasnโ€™t mentioned there as in your specific review you said it was quite good? ๐Ÿค”

Blockstream Jade is a fine piece of hardware. I literally just received the two I ordered last week yesterday. The camera is a nice feature. I just wish it had better resolution.

Not a big deal, though.

What about the buttons? Heard they were a little flimsy?

I haven't noticed that on mine.

Looking at them now. No flimsiness here. ๐Ÿ‘

Noice, thanks ๐Ÿ™

I think i might order one ๐Ÿ’ช

Definitely worth it!

When I made this video it was early 2022 and the Jade left a lot to be desired. They've been adding a lot of new features lately and putting in the work. A pretty decent option now - biggest gripe would be with camera resolution as scanning can be a pain.

Either way, props to them for giving the device the love it deserves.

Ah thanks for the clarification ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’œ

Would you consider the missing secure element as a problem? ๐Ÿค”

No secure element means that it's much easier to extract a seed phrase with physical access to the device. General rule regardless of the device is to assume your funds could be compromised if it goes missing, and immediately use your backup to move everything.

I prefer having a secure element with everything else outside the chip being open source & auditable. Without a secure element you can mitigate risk by adding a passphrase.

Thanks mate ๐Ÿ™

Would love to zap you more for the valuable advice but unfortunately i have to save for a good hardware wallet ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’œ

I think the Coldcard might be the best choice atm but the jade is much more affordable

No worries man, save your sats!

Coldcard is a really neat peace of hardware. I like the airgap via psbt with Sparrow.

I like it also but itโ€™s sooo expensive ๐Ÿ˜” imagine the sats i could stake ๐Ÿ˜…

Seedsigner is another brilliant approach.
