PSA: sodium bicarbonate aka baking soda will put out a grease fire in an instant. I always keep a box near my bbq and in the kitchen. Baking soda produces Co2 instantly when heated and starves the fire of oxygen. I found that out accidentally when my bbq was set ablaze one time from excessive grease collected inside. Works like magic. Luckily I had baking soda that time.
