I’ve been thinking about getting a framework as my next laptop, I wonder if this can be slimmed down to basically only run iMessage and the iCloud dependencies

they sell x86 laptops with a fair amount of repairability, and sell mainboard replacement upgrades… they even have a case so your outgoing mainboard can be used as a sbc.
