I use Fedora but I want to try qubeos since it's more privacy focused. I would give qubes a tey because it's a HyperManager & you can install multiple oses trying them out simultaniously.

Most operating systems go

computer hardware -> operating system. But with Qubes it's computer hardware -> hypervisor manager -> operating system. This gives you extra protection in many ways.
