Today on Commute and Compute, we’re talking about one of the biggest ticking time bombs or maybe just the biggest unlit firecracker in the entire world of Bitcoin:

“What happens when Satoshi Nakamoto’s coins move?”

Interesting take.

My humble opinion is this:

1. Whether Satoshi is alive or not, the key to Satoshi’s coins is lost. The temptation would be far too great for any human to handle.

2. The coins will move. Hackers will always target this wallet because it is the ultimate honeypot.

3. Sotoshi’s wallet will be the first wallet to be cracked with quantum computing.

4. As quantum computing advances, bitcoin devs will argue over how to handle the situation. The community will not reach consensus, so nothing will be done to prevent/restrict the coins moving.

What I would like to see:

The coins publicly burned on the blockchain.

I like that take. Definitely plausible. Thanks again for the idea
