maybe it's something you get from being a "crypto" dev and knowing how to deal with blockchains and cryptography and you have to deal with jobs where they constantly ask you "DoO YoU kNoW RusT?"

just go look at shitcoins APIs all over the place, even cosmos has "cosmwasm" which is... in rust, solana's main sMaRt CoNtRaCt language is, yes, you gassed it

it makes me sad every time i see bitcoiners pimping rust because rust is just C++ with better build system and even more complicated syntax and macro preprocessor

that's also why i hate it so much what fiatjaf does with Go, and mattn too, both of them abuse the go generics system like crazy for zero reason even though the non-generic code is actually shorter and simpler and easier to debug
