During my wife's career, she was a lactation consultant while our kids were infants... there is no solid proof, but my breastfed kids have no allergies, excelled in school, are very healthy and athletic, etc. It's a no-brainer if your wife can dedicate herself to it. But she also pumped, and I was able to feed them went she wasn't available. Two thumbs up for breastfeeding!

one more for you... all of my children have been born at home, underwater... when my wife and I started this journey I thought she was crazy... they'll drown right?! wrong.
I highly recommend home births... they've all been wonderful experiences... I'm very proud of my wife and appreciate the wisdom, knowledge, and strength she has contributed to our family throughout the years... find an experienced midwife team and weigh the pros and cons. Another two thumbs up for home births!
