Here’s the thing #[8]

There was, can be, and only ever will be one bitcoin.

Everything that came afterwards as an attempt to “improve” or somehow replace it is doomed to failure because they suffer from a fatal design flaw. They are missing at least one but usually more important aspect of bitcoin that can’t be replaced.

Those include :

- Its fair issue through proof of work

- Its lack of a company or known founder

- The fact that it survived years of attacks and emerged stronger after each one

- Its established network effects

- Its unchangeable supply and monetary policy

There are more, but that’s enough for now.
