I haven’t read enough about their setup, but I assume it’s a channel open fee to establish some liquidity, like with other non custodial lightning app wallets. For instance Breez charges 0.4% with a 2500 sat minimum when a new channel needs to be opened. But if your existing channels have enough inbound liquidity for the payment then you don’t have those kinds of fees.
That makes sense. I’ll contribute 2,500 sats to open my channel
I’ve been looking for a self custodial Lightning⚡️ wallet where I don’t have to manage and balance any channels.
