Is umbrel home good choice for non-tech guy?
I know I can get cheaper products, but actually idk what would I do, when my diy node crashs and I’ll be without back support like on umbrel.

What do you want to do with it?
I have free 2tb ssd, so I would love to have my own relay on that external ssd plugged in to umbrel and and on internal hardware, I would like to have my own node, because some folks around me started adopting lightning, so it would be 💯 better to get little payments in bitcoin 🫂 Hopefully it is possible to do 🫡
I used umbrel for a while (as I ran my node on a freebsd jail for years) and it worked well and was very beginner friendly. That was just running it in a VM on my server. Only thing that made me uncomfortable is it's all plaintext traffic on your local network
I switched to Start9 when I bought a mini pc for a dedicated node, and that has worked amazing. There's a small bit of work you have to do to install certificates for SSL but it's all point and click on any device
