Well, I think your analogies are a bit off. It’d be more like if anyone wanted to surf, they’d have to build their own surfboard. Or to listen to music, you’d get the music sheet with the 🎼 and you’d have to know how to play instruments to listen to it.

It's not like I'm asking you to build your own computer so you can surf the web. I'm simply pointing out that the cult of convenience enslaves you to the will of technobros, and what they're providing for you isn't that difficult for you to do for yourself, if you're willing to take the thirty minutes it takes to figure this stuff out. But I understand, doing things for themselves is too hard for some people, they lack the will and curiosity, and they'd rather have others do it for them rather than learn how to do it for themselves. That's cool, different strokes for different folks. Those people aren't my target audience.

Although convenience is being misused right now, it is not inherently evil

I agree, and I never claimed convenience is evil. I don't change the oil in my car. It's a pain in the ass, so I choose not to do it, but if I wanted to, I could. And I've never skinned a deer, but if I wanted to, I could learn how to. I want people to realize that they have a choice. I want them to make conscious decisions in their lives.

By analogy, I want them to choose to eat fast food because they want to, not because they lack the skills to make their own hamburger. And I don't want them to be afraid to learn how to make their own hamburger because Ronald McDonald has convinced them that cooking a hamburger is too hard.

I want people to know that hosting their own music and videos isn't hard, it's simply that they don't know how to do it, and if they want to have the ultimate control over the distribution of their content, it's easy and available, and they don't need to be afraid of it or feel too dumb to do it. I don't want them to think that the realm of computers is a magical one that only the techno-elites can understand and manipulate. I want them to know that they too are powerful agents in this world, and what one man can do, they can also do if they wanted to.

Anyone can learn how to do anything. But it’s up to them to spend their time on things they want to. Could you respond in not essays please

you haven't been in the game long enough. that's all son.
