I am not familiar with doing it via Umbrel.

I’ve set it up vanilla on a computer. It def took some steps including compiling Bitcoin core to accept ZeroMQ connections etc. I bookmarked the articles on my set up and steps. Def not plug and play (outside of the appliances or maybe not so much from what I’m hearing).
