The audio is using mostly unsupported codec and that’s why. If viewed in VLC via URL it works, but browsers are not likely to work (maybe Android will). Suggest using aac for audio in the video to avoid issues

You are right. I was able to play the video on iOS+VLC.

What part of my setup would select that? OS?

Try Handbreak and use Web - Social - 1 minute preset maybe

Yeah works everywhere on Android. Linux browsers are fine too.

Strange when I scan the video I see this for codec info.

Format AAC

Format_AdditionalFeatures LC

CodecID mp4a-40-2

Duration 11.055

BitRate_Mode CBR

BitRate 96000

Probably bitrate or some other unsupported tweak in it

iOS is so damn picky.

Well, there are standards that people agreed on, so it just enforces them I guess

Just seems weird it works everywhere but iOS. I wonder why the difference. I just checked videos I know work and the audio format is the same. Mysterious. Unless my videos are all silent too 🤔

iOS optimizes for low power, so this maybe why they restrict codecs to what can be played on HW
