It's going to matter which relays you query for an npubs followers though. You'd have to round-robbin across all known relays to get to the truth. Like nostr.band shows about 100 more followers for me than Iris does, since they're querying different relays.

yeah, i'm totally thinking about all of the implications, having just implemented a tool that checks nearly 400 relays just to figure out where *one* post reached.
