I asked a man in his 90’s who had been married for 70 years for advice when my wife and I were first married. He got very serious and told me he would think about it and get back to me.
A few days later he said, I’ve given it a lot of thought and the secret is to never go to bed angry. Always keep talking and working through it. It doesn’t have to get resolved completely, just to a place of peace.
My wife and I have followed this advice for a long time and it really is helpful. Thanks Paul for the great advice.
