What's the best way to update your node?
Make sure the OS is up to date your node is still being maintained. Example, Bitcoin Core 25.x and older aren't getting any maintenance so it is a good idea to upgrade to 26.x or newer.
I run core on an older computer.

Yeah to heat my garage but it will turn off once the weather is warmer. You have one running?
check release notes to see if you need to upgrade
many upgrades just have tangential feature changes
