This week I'm glad I'm not going into space as a test monkey in a trans polar orbit.

We have a monster sunspot with magnetic complexity rotating in, and if it launches a sizeable X-class flare, then the solar protons will be funneled in through the poles via earth's magnetic field.

The radiation could easily kill the crew in a situation like that.

I hope no one dies. But if it's not strong enough to kill astronauts or cause an emp blackout it would be cool because auroras.
