What would be your dream system for Hobert? I’m so excited for Brisbane’s new tiny underground but it’s taking so long

Well we have the Bellerive ferry now and that’s working so they could extend that service to more parts of the river. As for this clogged freeway I think Electric Buses and a dedicated bus/taxi/carpool lane would help. All these cars are coming in from outlying areas with one person in 95% of them. We’re not wealthy enough for rail these days sadly. Also we have to spend all our money on a football stadium no one wants much🧌

Oh yeah, I heard about the football stadium, that’s outrageous. :( don’t worry, Brisbane just as dumb, we’re gonna spend over a billion dollars to knock down a perfectly good inner city cricket-ground to replace it with one *slightly* bigger. Stupid specter sport.

Ferries are fun if the route is speedy. I used to take the Brisbane citycat to uni, but after a year or two it was quicker to walk the 40 minutes in to town because of new bridges and terminals under construction slow the ferries down to a crawl! And there’s been construction ever since.

I would have thought Hobart would be perfect for a good bus system, stadium money woulda got you a few busways for sure
