If you like H P, you might enjoy one of his major influences, the Welsh writer Arthur Machen. “The Great God Pan” or “The White People” are the places to start. Another influence is Lord Dunsany. His novel “The King of Elfland’s Daughter” was wholesale stolen by Neil Gaiman for “Stardust”. Dunsany’s version is superior. Enjoy your literary peregrinations!
