As long as Core agrees that not being able to fully stop spam is a reason to abolish all measures to reduce it, Knots has a reason to exist and to be used.
Unlimited spam is a long term guarantee for #Bitcoin to fail.
That is the issue.

And that overruling is NOT the same as stating it is the best solution !
