I already have a big miner. Had it for 3-4 seasons already. Looking for something more consumer friendly that other family members could use to turn the heat up and down without knowing about mining pools and hashrate. Still available in the background (for me) but not a barrier to entry

I got one of my two heatbits a couple of weeks ago. It's pretty easy to use. It runs just like a space heater/air purifier.

Can you choose the mining pool?

You cannot. Supposedly, it is a feature that will come later.

Luxor, if I remember correctly.

I won't hold my breath on the chosing function coming anytime soon.

I was supposed to get both in winter 2023, then in the fall of 2024. I finally got one of two at the end of February.

There is KYC in that the company has your info and know which units they sold you.

I'm planning on giving the other to my mom, so I guess no one would know.

They're pretty good at replying back when people have questions. If you go on their website and ask, they'll get back within the day.
