Interesting thought I had today:

Is the government ditching commercial banks? Last week we get news that the BTFP is ending in March, today we get a hawkish Fed Meeting, where it was emphasized that we’re probably not getting rate cuts in March. It’s public knowledge that commercial banks are underwater. The timing of this BTFP news is interesting to me. Could this be a plan to get rid of this less centralized banking system, and implement a centralized CBDC like monetary system. What do you think? Crazy thought or na.
