Ok I have one suggestion for Damus: I would like to be in control of the cut-off point for Show More, so that I can see everything if I wanted to, or just a few lines, or something in the middle.

my suggestion would be for there to be a screen size check and only show “show more” if the note is going to take up more than that
On iPad for instance, I have plenty of space to see everything, but Show More is actually increasing friction here
yeah makes sense, especially bugs me when it’s only a few more characters
The issue is that there are significant scrolling hitches when lazy loading large AttributedStrings (exp ones with many links). Twitter has a similar UI/UX on their iPad app.
