As someone rasing 3 babies, In the trenches of motherhood, it's hard seeing hot influencers preach about being a homemaker and how feminism is ruining women, to pander to a following. Ironic to be a homemaker and read these posts from women who are embodying the feminist archetype, paid influencers who care more about their social media & clout chasing that are all about pushing an image and a career within the social media space. Trad wife aesthetic. Maybe I'm a little jealous, because when you actually give up your career and self to become a mother you become forgotten by society. Women see other moms isolated and struggling within the home and think it isn't worth it. If there were more truth about motherhood from actual mothers I think more women would feel encouraged to be homemakers. I'm grateful to be able to stay home, but it's not meant to be this isolating. It takes a village.
