I don't think AI assisted coding should be considered "vibe coding", everyone should be using an ai assist, it's like a mechanic refusing to use a wrench.

Vibe coding is trying to build applications completely via prompts, without ever having to touch code at all.

I had a great time yesterday vibe coding but did hit a wall at about 90 minutes where the agent couldn't get any further. It was awesome for how much it was able to do. I'm ready to step in and take over more hands on but will absolutely give it a chance once I've made some little tweaks and cleared the roadblock.

At this point it's like highly customized boiler plate that brought a ton of domain knowledge into the project. Then of course I tried out like six other app ideas in a day when pre-vibe-coding I'd be satisfied to get half as far with one.

I agree, it's useful, it's also very problematic that no one will look at the code if it keeps getting better, it's a recipe for disaster, until we have better and more trust worthy systems in place.
