Yeh, his books are incredibly easy to read but thoroughly enjoyable. It's like you're exactly there with him, wherever he might be! He came over to these shores (The UK) and pretty much never left, he married an English girl, they live in a small village in Norfolk.

Honestly. Any of them, but I suppose Life and Times of The Thunderbolt Kid might be a good start, as the whole book is basically about him growing up in Des Moins. All his other books are excellent though.
