I think you have to consider that the impact of the four year cycle diminishes each time the halving results in a smaller block reward. Curiously, though, Satoshi lined the cycle up with the US election schedule, which impacts everything.

We've only had 3-4th halving way way to soon to determine this. Lets talk about it when 10-15 halvings happen
