there's a hilarious horror movie with christopher walken about something that wentwrong with some peat bog mummies. one of them was a powerful witchy woman.
almost seemed like a matryoshka at first but then i saw it was clearly the bound corpse.
one has to wonder about how the idea of mummification for these fancy people developed in the first place though. reincarnation theories don't require it. it's a clear mark of some belief to do with resurrection in the future, that requires the physical body to remain. the DNA of these pharoahs is almost certainly mostly intact in marrow of the bones.
also, what's funny is they have to remove almost all of the organs, including the brain. so there's no way it would achieve retaining their memory.
Every Egypt movie always goes smoothly especially if it involves ancient Egypt.
