My first shift was spent in front of a computer being told over and over again about diversity, inclusion and microaggressions 😂

It said saying to a foreigner in the US ("Wow, your English is great! Where are you from?") is a microaggression. On planet would any not native English speaking person get upset at a native speaker for telling them their English is good and showing interest in them by asking where they are from?
