I have a Patreon-like NIP in the works; we should talk 😉
Pablo, hello
hahahhahhaha
I’ll shoot it out tomorrow. It’s very simple
Kind 7001 is p tag with who you support, cadence tag is “daily”, etc, amount tag is “amount”, “unit” (I hate to admit it but I think fiat unit of account will be useful for normies). Optional e tag of 👇
Kind 7002 is plans creators can publish with a content, just like patreon does. Same deal, amount and p tag.
Supporters zap tagging the kind 7001 and p tagging the creator.
There, that’s basically it. 😂
Yeah thats perfect
I would zap you but I don’t have channels 😭😭😭😭
How do you out of all people NOT have a channel? xD
Ain't like you are a popular nostr developer or anything o.o...
Hahaha I have channels, but my mutiny which I use to zap from my phone force close me a couple hours ago
Ohhh I saw a screenshot of that. Well okay, that makes sense then.
So this also means you haven't been able to restore them either? Shame...
I hear mutiny is the best. if that's the best... hmmm...
I keep asking this question about these shiny new #nostr tech and have gotten some lame ass bullshit answers, so I'll ask here...
which do you trust more:
the hardware?
the software?
the people you don't know that make them?
I will give you my thoughts as well - dont know if they are of any value though.
Usually I look at this with two angles: What a person with very little tech understanding sees, and what a tech-savy person sees. I can run my own CLN, but another person can not.
To the "normie", Alby, WoS and Mutiny are largely one and the same; an app that stores sats. To a more tech-savy person, they see the custodial nature of these wallets. Hence, I actually trust none of them - neither WoS, Alby nor Mutiny. If I can run it myself, I will.
But if I had to recommend any of these three to someone just joining Nostr, I would look at how likely it is that they will run their own node. If not, I will show them Alby. If they might, I am more leaning towards Mutiny.
Even if sats are effectively micro payments akin to Twitch Bits and this sorta stuff (values in the cents, most of the time), it's important to have a good and quick starting point to get into using them early. From there, one should learn what they are actually using, on a base level, to have enough understanding of "Who am I trusting with what".
Self-custodial is often the most private and independent solution, but it is not one everyone can take. Since Mutiny appears to be "Nostr First", I am leaning towards suggesting them over Alby, personally.
The only reason I have so far excluded Wallet of Satoshi is because I have seen it being down fairly often recently and there seems to be no representation here on Nostr - in fact, I haven't even seen a WoS maintainer here, nor spoken to one... So it feels very distant, thus even less of a trust-able candidate (-able, not -worthy).
I appreciate your comments. but, not compelling arguments why I or anyone should trust any of it. yet everyone is soooo bullish on it all. and I am too. but I can't explain why I trust any of this, because I don't. it's blind faith.
I think most people just see it as the lesser evil? Trust something from the community rather than an institutional bank - perhaps? Plus, not everyone can opt into full self-custody, so I guess they trust it because... it's their only viable option.
Just a guess though. I wouldn't trust any of them myself, but I also can host my own node/s just fine. Others can't, so it's probably the "better" option for them.
Though didn't Zeus recently introduce their pocket-able LN node? This sounds like a great alternative, to me.
i agree it is a lesser evil thing, but why are so many ignoring it. your last paragraph just proved my point. so many are distracted by the shiny new thing.
Because it's easier, plain and simple. To them, at least.
But this is precisely why I selfhost it, I don't trust those services. However, "they" have to, because they can't - for whatever reason - do the same.
⚡️
Nice! Gotta integrate with with NWC so that the service pays it automatically and avoids double paying. Or make a DVM for it.
If the cadance is daily, payment should go out daily independent if the user turned on their Nostr Client or not. And it should never pay it twice, which can happen if zapper's relay goes offline for a few hours and the client doesn't see a zap.
I’m so bullshit so anything i post is kinda pathetic crap.

🤷🏻♂️
Cool. I back-of-the-napkin'ed something similar a couple of weeks ago and was thinking of working on it for nostrasia.
My first idea was that the client should be responsible for checking periodically if payments are due and doing them. But now I think that it’s better if a server (zapplepay/zapplanner/recipient server is doing it). The zap events can be authored by a 3rd party while the subscription event is authored by the end-user once, at the start.
Should the NWC pay request be updated to add the event that you are zapping, instead of just the invoice? Then wallets can show users in a decent way what they were paying.
Maybe change to “How many sats?”
then you won’t have the sats in the amount box which doesn’t work when a user tries to type sats
I’m zapping myself.
wen 1 min and 1 hour
It's implemented in the backend, nostr:npub1p4kg8zxukpym3h20erfa3samj00rm2gt4q5wfuyu3tg0x3jg3gesvncxf8 didn't want to add it to the front end just yet.
Would be cool if your profile showed who your autozapping (subscribing to). Cool feature for publications and content creators. Connect TFTC and The Nostr report to your NWC and they give badges and whatnot to their subscirbers.
