Smoothly passed-by that the recent change from Lightning to USB-C connectors in their products were not on their own accord to innovate or better the user experience, but rather despite Apple's own insistence on squeezing their customer base for some extra bucks by forcing thim to use proptietary cables and peripherals.
... Which also happens to be of shoddy quality, requiring recurring replacement because urban living standards of stuffing your cables in the pocket or your backpack would destroy the connecting surfaces and cable plastic in short order.
