A natural gas pipeline project between Türkiye and Qatar could be resumed following Bashar al-Assad's fall, according to Turkish energy minister Alpraslan Bayraktar.
The pipeline, which would pass through Syrian territory, was rejected by Assad back in 2009.
The 1,500km long pipeline would transport gas from Qatar to Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, Türkiye and finally to Europe, which has been struggling to adequately replace Russian gas since the Ukraine war.
